TAUW contributes to a sustainable world. This report has shown the steps we took last year and the ones we will take the coming years. Because, for us, it’s an ongoing journey. It’s a path we walk with our clients, guiding them to a world in which nature and human activities coexist in harmony. That’s our living ambition.
Welcoming the future
Our short-term goal is to design a picture of what a sustainable world will look like in 2050, then analyse and resolve the repercussions for our client groups. Those outcomes will direct our knowledge development and through innovative solutions we will help our clients build a sustainable society. 2050 may seem far off, but many of the projects in which TAUW is currently involved, will determine the living environment in 2050. That is why we need to advise and design with the impact in 2050 in our minds. TAUW consultants are proactive in shaping a sustainable future with and for our colleagues, our clients and our partners. Looking ahead
The TAUW Sustainability Program will focus on laying the foundation in 2023. To improve our performance, we need to know where we stand. We use the CSRD monitoring obligations as a starting point for this. We also ensure that our policy framework and objectives are clearly defined and elaborated. Within these objectives, we distinguish between our footprint and handprint.
In 2023 we will invest in our position in the international sustainability network. We choose a targeted position in those places where we as TAUW can make a major contribution. Think of biodiversity, healthy soil, circular economy, climate adaptation and a healthy living environment.
We invest in our knowledge of the relevant sustainable themes. In order to properly guide our clients to 2050, we will formulate roadmaps for our most important customer groups in 2023 with colleagues and external experts. These roadmaps serve as inspiration, but also as a guideline for our own product and knowledge development.
Lastly, we will invest in improving cooperation at a European level. We will do so by connecting our experts more closely and by making cooperation across national borders as easy as possible. Sustainability is a broad concept and requires a holistic approach. You can expect from TAUW that we will do everything we can to pool our knowledge and experience in an integrated approach.
