The Dijkzone Allinatie (Dyke Zone Alliance, DZA) is a partnership between the contractors Dura Vermeer and Ploegam, engineering firms Fugro and TAUW, and landscape architects H+N+S. DZA bids for dyke reinforcement projects funded by the Flood Protection Programme. TAUW joined in 2017, bringing our specialist knowledge of study project planning. This is a skill increasingly being asked of contractors and it is an example of how TAUW adds value to a project.

In 2022 TAUW was involved with the DZA in various other projects, such as the dyke reinforcement of the city dykes of Zwolle and the Stenendijk in Hasselt, which are still ongoing. TAUW brings a range of expertise, such as environmental management, design preparation, ecological advice, application for (main) permits and nitrogen calculations. The dyke reinforcement of the city dykes of Zwolle will continue until 2024.

In future, the DZA will also be engaged in large-scale projects under the Water Framework Directive and the future Integrated Approach Large Waters.
